A day at the Oakland Zoo

If you have not visited the Oakland Zoo, I definately recommend that you add it to your list of places to see this summer! www.oaklandzoo.org
They have a great Children's Zoo and tons of animals for the kids to see! Most of the animals are large, so for our group of 3-4 year olds, this was a perfect place to hold their attention and wear them out at the same time!
Here are cousins... Dane, Kyra, Ryan, Clayton, Braydon & Carin in the Bat House!

Mom and the boys check out the giraffes and the gazelles...
Clayton loved the giraffes and did not want to leave... until he realized that there were More animals around the corner!

The lion was sleeping in the sun, so it was a little hard for the kids to see her... after lunch the kids took a ride on the gondola and were able to get a much better view.
They were able to see the elephants!

Chris took the boys into the reptile house... I opted to take this picture from the doorway!
Carin and Chris check out the zebras.
The tiger was also taking a nap... must have been about that time!

Lunch Time! Deanna dishes out the first round...
Braydon was a hungry man... and Casey chillaxed with Travis and Dane.

My little Cole-Man! He was so good and had a really good time... hopefully he'll be able to keep up with the big kids on our next visit!
Braydon had to step away from the table for a minute to make a very important phone call!
Quick guys (and gals)... rub his head and see if you can get a geenie to pop out!
Ha! Dane... this little guy is hysterical! When I went to take a picture of him, he saw me and started making faces and striking poses! Love him!
