A simple snack

Last night, we had some friends over for dinner. With 4 little boys in the mix, our goal was to serve the kids ASAP and the adults after. Since the group was small, I decided that one hors d'oeuvres would be plenty... and we were long overdue for a family favorite!
This recipe could not get any easier, with two ingredients that I keep on hand... cream cheese and chili (no beans)... all I needed to pick up at the store was the bag of chips.
Pour the cream cheese and chili into a pot and warm on low heat, stirring often with a wooden spoon, until...
it's nice and creamy, save for the lumps of chili.
Pour it into a serving bowl - or in this case, serve in the pot - and serve with chips for dipping.
Ta-Da! This treat was a favorite when I was growing up and has been an easy hit with everyone we've shared it with. Leaving plenty of time to socialize and serve up dinner!

Cream Cheese & Chili Dip
1 - 8 oz. pkg. Cream Cheese
1 - 15 oz. can Chili - No beans
Chips - we prefer Fritos Scoops!

Combine the cheese and chili in a small pot and warm over low heat. Stir often until cheese is completely melted and the mixture is even.
Pour into a serving bowl and serve with chips for dipping.

Definite Yum! Hope you love it!
A friend suggested using a small crock pot to keep it warm while guests are dipping! Sounds like a Great idea, if you've got one of those handy! :)
