Liebster Award!

A couple of months ago, we were honored to receive the "Liebster Award"! This marks our second Blogger Award, both of which have been bestowed upon us by fellow bloggers. The Liebster was passed on to us by our friends over at A Day in the Life of The Farm Vet. We love following their adventures, as the family of a large animal veterinarian, and learning about other California farm families through their Face of the Farmer series. Swing by and pay them a visit!

So, back to liebster. You're probably wondering what exactly the liebster award is. Well, it's actually just a great way for bloggers to share their favorite blogs and hopefully introduce readers to  some new blogs to follow.

The Rules:
1. Thank the person who gave you the award and post a link back to their blog.
2. Choose 5 blogs that you want to recognize for the liebster award. Link to them and let them know that they are a lucky recipient!

Congratulations to the newest Liebster Award recipients (in no particular order):

The Adventures of Dairy Carrie
Dairy Carrie does a fantastic job of using her blog to address issues that can be difficult to explain to those unfamiliar with livestock operations. From explaining the handling of a downed cow, to disecting an animal rights video at the request of a reader. Her sense of humor always makes me giggle!

The House Ag Built
Sarah is an elementary school teacher near our State Capitol, and one of two lovely ladies I have met as a result of blogging! This year she and her class created Flat Aggie, a 2-dimentional student who toured ag operations around the country and reported back to the class. Kudos to this great teacher for bringing ag to the next generation in a new and exciting way!

From My Front Porch
I love reading along with this farm mom who isn't afraid to put on her boots and get dirty - picking up boar semen while waiting in the school line-up, driving tractor or sharing some fun giggles with her family. Her style of writing is much like the conversation I'm sure she'd share with you over a trailer hitch!

It's a Small Town Life
The photography that Michelle shares on her blog is incredible! As an added bonus, there is a sidebar soundtrack that starts playing, hooks you in and you find yourself scrolling through post after post of beautiful images, without even realizing how much time has passed.

Frago Forward
This blog is in its early stages, and is written by a childhood friend, whose family has an almond farm as well as a CSA, where customers can receive shipments of fresh, locally grown produce. Check out Rainbow Lane Farm!

Many of our blogger friends can be found on Facebook and Twitter, take a minute and search for them! I would like to thank The Farm Vet family for passing the liebster on to us, and I hope you enjoy discovering some new farming blogs!
